Leicestershire's Louis Kimber hit England player Ollie Robinson for 43 runs, which is the second most expensive in the history of first-class cricket.

However, the most expensive cricket in the history of first-class cricket was recorded in 1990 when former New Zealand off-break bowler Vert Vance was hammered for a mind-boggling 77 runs during a Shell Trophy match between Wellington and Canterbury in 1989–90.

Vance, who bowled 17 no-balls in that period, played four Tests and eight ODIs for New Zealand.
