Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and her husband, two-time NBA All-Star David Lee, have sold their luxury penthouse in Miami to an undisclosed buyer for a whopping $37 million. The sale comes six months after the couple put the home, which sits atop the opulent Palazzo Del Sol building, on the market for $42.5 million. They purchased the aerie in 2021 after the birth of their first child, Olivia. Although the top athletes didn't receive their full asking price, they still walked away from the transaction with a pocket full of cash, as the couple paid almost double the $18.7 million they paid for the exclusive digs. Wozniacki and Lee parted ways in 2021 with another unit in the same building for $16.3 million.
Palazzo Del Sol is located on Fisher Island, known as one of the country's richest placesThe man-made island is only accessible to residents via ferry and was once home to celebrities including Oprah Winfrey, the Vanderbilts and Julia Roberts.
Wozniacki and Lees' former unit features 7,000 square feet of living space and 5,000 square feet of outdoor space spread across two terraces, one of which offers up-close views of the surrounding waterfront, while the other features a fire pit and hot tub.
The five-bedroom home is filled with luxurious amenities, such as the custom marble media walls, double ceilings, white oak floors and the custom chef's kitchen, which includes high-end German stainless steel appliances and an Art Deco-inspired center island and range hood. All of these design details were additions from their budget-less renovation of the home, which they initially purchased as a raw space, according to the Wall Street Journal.
