Beach tennis lessons for adults this summer

Take the fun of tennis, add Southborough's outdoor volleyball court and what do you get? The answer is Beach Tennis.

According to Southborough Recreation, pickleball isn't the only sport of tennis growing in popularity. And this summer, adults can take classes to “discover the joy” for themselves.

Rec offers classes for adults on the sand volleyball court on the Neary School campus. A second session of the classes taught by Boston Beach Tennis will begin in July.

It seamlessly combines the strategies of tennis and badminton and is played on sand courts that add an extra element of challenge and fun. The public can register for evening or morning classes:

• Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:00 p.mJuly 11 – August 15
• Tuesday, 7:00 – 800 amJuly 9 – August 13
