Colin Kurdyla Named to Team USA U-20 National Team Tryout
PISCATAWAY, NJ Rutgers men's lacrosse rising sophomore midfielder Colin Kurdyla was named for a three-day tryout for the Team USA 2025 US Men's U20 National Team. TThe 2025 U.S. U20 men's national team will represent the United States at next summer's World Cup in Seogwipo, South Korea. The team will begin its on-field activities with a three-day tryout from June 28-30 at USA Lacrosse's headquarters in Sparks, Maryland. The team will have additional training camps leading up to the 2025 World Cup in Korea from July 18-27. Kurdyla is one of 77 players identified for this weekend's tryout.
Kurdyla recently completed a stellar season during his freshman campaign “On the Banks.” The Bridgewater, NJ native scored 20 goals and had 10 assists for 30 points, ranking second on the team in goals and third on the team in assists and points. Kurdyla had six multi-goal games, including three hat tricks. He was a two-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week and was ranked No. 17 on Inside Lacrosse’s True Freshman rankings at the end of the season.
The last time the U-20 World Championships were held, Shane Knobloch represented the Scarlet Knights on the team. Knobloch won a gold medal at the event in Limerick, Ireland, after scoring seven goals in the tournament.
