Top 100 receiver commits to WVU Football
West Virginia University re-committed today as Drexell Hill (PA) Monsignor Bonner wide receiver Jalil Hall chose the Mountaineers over fellow finalist Maryland. The 247Sports three-star prospect also considered Pitt, Virginia Technology, Syracuseand more.
Hall received an early offer from WVU's offensive coordinator Chad Scottand stayed in touch with the coaching staff throughout the process, coming to campus for a Junior Day and a spring training visit, making his third trip to Morgantown the first weekend of the summer for an official visit.
“The connection and relationships from player to player, or player to recruit, was unlike anywhere I've been,” he said after the trip. “They were very hospitable and we had a nice time.”
After attending WVU, Hall was originally scheduled to visit Syracuse. Instead, he traded that visit for a visit to Maryland. However, the Terrapins didn't do enough to overcome the lead WVU had already built with all their visits, and Hall just made his commitment public.
Hall received a three-star rating of 88 from 247Sports as the nation's No. 80 wide receiver.
