Field Hockey welcomes Kiley Allen 23 as its new assistant coach
CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts. In preparation for the 2024 campaign, Harvard has added hockey Kiley Allen '23 to his coaching staff as the new assistant coach. A native of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, Allen was a fixture in the Crimson field hockey program from 2018 to 2022.
“We are thrilled to have Kiley back at Harvard Field Hockey. It is very special to have an alumnae back in a coaching role,” Head Coach, The Ragatz Family Harvard Women's Coach of Excellence Tjerk van Herwaarden said. “She brings a special level of passion to this program and her genuine care for those around her make her a tremendous asset. As a former student-athlete at Harvard, she will play an important role in supporting our athletes at and off the field. In addition to her impact on the team, Kiley will also be heavily involved in alumni outreach, fundraising and our ongoing journey to build our strong program culture. We can't wait for Kiley to head to Harvard and rejoin the team in her new role.
During her four-year career with the Crimson, Allen was a leader on and off the court. As team captain for the 2022 version of the Crimson, Allen made 72 appearances in the midfield, starting in 67 games. During 2,801 minutes on the field, Allen provided 14 assists, scored three goals and scored 20 points. In 2019, Allen was awarded All-Ivy League honorable mention status after scoring one goal and adding five assists in 17 appearances. Allen was also a key part of a Crimson defense that led the nation in goals against average (0.44) in 2021.
Allen is a member of the Class of 2023 and graduated from Harvard with a bachelor's degree in psychology. For the past year, Allen served as an enterprise sales development representative at ASAPP in New York.
Harvard hockey returns to action in September as defending Ivy League regular-season and tournament champions, while the Crimson advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals.
