POSITION SUMMARY:
Support the day-to-day operations of the men's and women's tennis programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist in enforcing USM's compliance with conference and competition policies
Responsible for all aspects related to assisting the Head Coach in conducting training and matches, working on player development and supervising all conditioning programs
Assist in recruiting potential student-athletes and assist in coordinating campus visits
Demonstrate your commitment to continuous learning/professional development through presentations, workshops and/or conferences
Supervising team managers
Help with driving vans for travel games and with preparations for the trip
Responsible for the daily academic progress of current tennis student-athletes
Additional duties include working with: Sports information for roster entry, building the NAIA Champions of Character program; fundraising; community service; maintaining and promoting public relations; and other daily duties as assigned by the head coach.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required
Must meet the requirements for the USM Graduate Assistantship program, which includes acceptance into one of the USM graduate programs
Must have a valid driver's license
Effective and positive interpersonal and communication skills
Must successfully pass a required background check, if applicable
Affinity with the overall mission of Saint Mary's University
*The position includes up to 5 meals per week, half of the tuition fee and a stipend covering the remainder of the tuition fee.
