Women's football publishes 2024 schedule
NEW YORK Head coach Tracey Bartholomeus and the Columbia women's soccer program announced Wednesday its schedule for the 2024 season, which kicks off on Friday, Aug. 23 and features six games at Rocco B. Commisso Soccer Stadium.
Columbia enters the 2024 season coming off of one of the most successful seasons in program history in 2023. Columbia defeated Rutgers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, earning the program's first NCAA Tournament victory in program history. The 2023 season also marked just the second time in program history that Columbia has appeared in the NCAA Tournament.
The Lions open the 2024 season with three straight road games. Columbia travels to Hofstra on Friday, Aug. 23 for the season opener before visiting Vanderbilt on Aug. 30 and Tennessee Tech on Sept. 1. Columbia welcomes FDU to New York on Thursday, Sept. 5 for the home opener. The Lions also host Fordham (Sept. 12), Providence (Sept. 20), Cornell (Oct. 9), Dartmouth (Oct. 13) and Princeton (Nov. 2) on home games.
Columbia rounds out its non-conference slate with a pair of tough road games against North Carolina on Sept. 8 and Penn State on Sept. 15. The Lions open the Ivy League slate at Penn on Sept. 28. Columbia also travels to Harvard, Brown and Yale to round out its conference schedule.

This schedule will pit us against more than nine opponents that have recently appeared in the NCAA Tournament, including perennial powerhouses UNC and Penn State, who are annually ranked in the top five in the country. These games will also help prepare us for the rigors of our Ivy League campaign and our goal of returning to the NCAA Tournament.”
Columbia's 2024 schedule features games against six teams that played in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. North Carolina and Penn State both reached the 2023 NCAA quarterfinals before losing. Ivy League opponents Harvard, Brown and Princeton both reached the second round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

The 2024 season will once again culminate with the top four teams playing in the Ivy League Tournament, which begins on Friday, November 8. The tournament is hosted by the No. 1 team after the Ivy League regular season concludes.
