Live Updates on Indian Cricket Team's T20 World Cup Victory Celebration: The Indian cricket team has arrived at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Indian team landed in New Delhi early on Thursday morning, fresh from winning the T20 World Cup. The players were given a heart-warming welcome at the IGI Airport, at the team hotel and on the way to the hotel.
Team India has a busy schedule today: after a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there will be a BCCI felicitation function at the Wankhede Stadium and a trophy tour in an open bus in Mumbai.

Team India was stuck in Barbados due to a hurricane but was flown out of the West Indies on a specially arranged charter flight. Team India flew from Barbados to New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Air India flight AIC24WC Air India Champions 24 World Cup which departed around 4:50 am local time on Wednesday and arrived in Delhi at 6 am IST on Thursday after a non-stop journey of 16 hours. Team India defeated South Africa by seven runs in the final in Bridgetown on Saturday last week.
Hundreds of Team India supporters descended on the airport in New Delhi, carrying banners and waving the national flag.
After being hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital, the Indian cricket team will head to Mumbai where they will take part in an open bus parade carrying the trophy. Two buses were stationed outside the T3 Terminal to take the players to their hotel, from where they will proceed to the Prime Minister’s residence for a reception at 9am.
