Here are the games for Hockey Day Minnesota 2025
At the end of January, Valleyfair hosts a full schedule of games from high school to the NHL.
SHAKOPEE, Minn. It's become an annual celebration in the Hockey State: a full schedule of games from high school to the NHL for Hockey Day Minnesota.
The 2025 Edition of Hockey Day Minnesota is scheduled for four days in late January, with Valleyfair Amusement Park in Shakopee hosting almost all of the competition.
Below is the schedule announced on Monday:
Wednesday January 22nd at Valleyfair
- Lakeville North vs. Rosemount (girls)
- Eastview vs. Rosemount (boys)
Thursday January 23rd at Valleyfair
- Northfield vs. Orono (girls)
- Prior Lake vs. Eden Prairie (girls)
- Shakopee vs. Brainerd (Girls)
Friday January 24th at Valleyfair
- Orono vs. Delano (boys)
- Lakeville South vs. Prior Lake (boys)
Saturday January 25th at Valleyfair
- Eden Prairie vs. Hibbing (boys)
- Univ. of Minnesota Gophers vs. Bemidji State Beavers (Women)
- Shakopee vs. Maple Grove (boys)
Saturday, January 25 at Xcel Energy Center
- Minnesota Wild vs Calgary Flames
“We are excited about the games and expect to see competitive hockey played all weekend long at one of Minnesota’s most iconic venues,” said Stacey Langemo, chair of Hockey Day Minnesota 2025, in a statement.
The Hockey Day schedule features only the third outdoor game ever for the University of Minnesota women's hockey team.
We are honored to be a part of Hockey Day Minnesota 2025! said Brad Frost, Gopher women's hockey head coach. “Anytime we get to showcase college women's hockey on one of the biggest hockey days of the year is incredible. This will be an amazing experience for our student-athletes.”
The Minnesota Wild helped establish Hockey Day in Minnesota in 2007 as a way to celebrate the sport across the state, with outdoor games held in different host communities each year.
