Glamorgan 2nd XI on T20 Finals Day in Wormsley
Glamorgan 2nd XI have secured their place in the 2024 T20 Finals Day which will take place on Tuesday 16th July 2024 in Wormsley. The team played 10 matches in the Central group during the league stage, recording five wins and three defeats which together with two abandoned matches earned them 12 points.
Their victories included impressive wins against Gloucestershire by 107 runs, Northamptonshire by 35 runs and 3 wickets, Worcestershire by 3 wickets and Somerset by 42 runs.

2nd XI coach Steve Watkins expressed his excitement, saying: “We are delighted to reach Finals Day again! We have used over 25 players during the group stage and we are very grateful to everyone for their contributions.
“The coaches were particularly pleased with the positive, exciting style of cricket and we hope to continue this on final day.
“There will be some strong competition on the day with Somerset, Yorkshire and Surrey also taking part. We won’t hold back and will be aiming to add to our two previous wins, hoping to go one better than last year’s second place!”
Billy Root added: “It’s an exciting event and it’s great to see some of the younger players coming out and the more experienced players taking responsibility.
“Ultimately, this is why we gave ourselves the opportunity to be present on the final day!”
