Coronavirus: NZ Tennis cancels all organized competitions

Tennis New Zealand and its regional affiliates have agreed to cancel all competitions until May 2 at least.

This includes the following events:

* National senior tennis team event, Hawkes Bay (senior tennis event)
* New Zealand High School Team Championship, Christchurch (an extended date will be found later in 2020)

* Any club competition organized by the tennis regions and any other tennis competition organized by Tennis NZ and the tennis regions.

Tennis NZ and its regions recommend that all associations, affiliates and tennis clubs adopt this position and cancel all competitions organized under their mandate.

This includes tournaments and events organized by clubs, tournaments and affiliated events, including Seniors tennis, wheelchair tennis and other events.
It is also recommended to cancel all midweek and club night competitions.
