UTR will hold the $25,000 Pro Tennis Tournament at the FSU Indoor Tennis Courts from September 15-21, followed by the ITA All-American Championships from September 21-29 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The fall tournament moves to central Florida in October, where the ITA Southeast Regional Championship takes place in Orlando from October 10-14, followed by the annual Bedford Cup in Gainesville from October 25-27.
Florida State will host the ITA South Sectional Championship at the Speicher Tennis Center from Nov. 7-10. This will be the first ITA event FSU has hosted since the 2022 ITA Southeast Regional Championship. That same weekend, FSU will also send a portion of its team to Miramar Beach, Florida, to compete in the Battle of the Beach competition from Nov. 8-10.
The Indoor Tennis Courts will also host the annual ITF Tallahassee Futures competition from November 17-23. The ITA events provide a platform for players to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships in Waco, Texas, from November 19-24. This is the first year that the NCAA Individual Championships have been moved from the spring to the fall.
FSU returns six players from last season's ACC championship, including four seniors. Incoming transfers include Coconut Creek, Florida, native Corey Craig and a German sophomore Erik SchiesslThe freshman class consists of European players Jan Sebesta And Elias Sumann.
Florida State was represented in several spots in the ITA Fall Preseason Rankings. Jamie Connell And Youcef Rihane each achieved a top-100 singles ranking at No. 82 and No. 88, respectively. FSU also achieved two top-50 doubles rankings with Alex Bulte and Rihane at No. 41 while Schiessl and Joshua Dous-Karpenschif checked in at No. 47. Sebesta and Connel enter their fall season ranked No. 78 as a pair. Sebesta was also ranked the No. 10 newcomer entering college play this season.
