Men's tennis concludes the Horizon League individual championships with three wins on Saturday
CLEVELAND On the second day of the first Horizon League Individual Championships in Cleveland, Ohio, the Belmont University men's tennis team recorded three match victories, while the Bruins won a pair of consolation doubles matches and graduated Nicholas of Hellenes won his consolation singles match. In the quarter-finals of the main tournament junior singles on Saturday morning Save Ndumbe fell 6-2, 6-4 to Jonasz Dziopak of Tennessee State.
Von Hellens earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Northern Kentucky's Hector Salvador at Cleveland State's Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion to wrap up Belmont's singles action.
In doubles, freshman Charlie Robin together with junior Roi said for a 6-3 victory over Cleveland State's Nico Jamison and Devin Boyer while they were seniors Diego Castro and von Hellens defeated Norway's Xavier Ecarma and Emilio Bravo, also 6-3.
