At 21 years old, Carlos Alcaraz continues to add to his growing list of career achievements.
The Spaniard is already a four-time major champion and has risen to number 1 in the world in the PIF ATP rankings. He has reached a new milestone Sunday that places his name among several all-time greats.
Alcaraz achieved his 200th tour-level victory in the second round of the China Open when he defeated Tallon Greekpoor 6-1, 6-2. Alcaraz has suffered just 52 losses in his career, giving him a tour-level winning percentage of 79 percent.
Of the 29 players to reach world No. 1, Alcaraz is the second fastest to record his 200th match victory, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. Only John McEnroe had fewer losses at the time of his 200th match victory (200-45).

Coincidentally, Alcaraz's 200th win came against the same man – Greek Spoor – who he defeated to record his 100th win in 2023 at Indian Wells.
Only eighteen months later, Alcaraz has reached the milestone of the next century. He has not slowed his meteoric rise since taking the tennis world by storm as a teenager, becoming the youngest world No. 1 in PIF ATP Rankings in history at the age of 19 in 2022.
Sinner, the current world No. 1, who also competes in Beijing, had 74 defeats when he achieved his 200th victory, the same record that Novak Djokovic and Stefan Edberg had when they reached the milestone. Serbian Djokovic has spent a record 428 weeks at the top of the PIF ATP rankings.
Alcaraz has amassed a 45-9 season record with three titles: Indian Wells, Roland Garros and Wimbledon. He will next face seventh seed Karen Khachanov in the quarter-finals of Beijing. Alcaraz could meet rival Sinner in the ATP 500 final.
