After dropping his opener on Friday, Leitner rebounded to beat Navy's Aniketh Ayinala 6-3, 2-6, 10-7 in the quarterfinals on Saturday morning. The native of Freistadt, Austria, defeated Collin Beduhn of Wisconsin 2-6, 6-3, 10-7 to advance to the West final.
Elsewhere in singles action, Matteo Iaquinto dropped his quarterfinal against Oscar Corwin of Western Michigan by a narrow margin: 3-6, 6-3, 8-10. After a 2-0 opening day, Pablo Torres Almeida fell 6-2, 6-7, 1-6 to Saiprakash Goli of Northwestern in the quarterfinals of the main draw.
Freshmen Quang Vinh Nguyen capped his weekend of singles matches with a complete setback against Wisconsin's Michael Minasyan, 4-6, 2-6.
In doubles, the tandem of Nguyen and Torres Almeida were defeated by Bilicic and Johann of Nebraska 6-3 in the quarterfinals of the eastern tie.
