Alpha, Nixor excel in PSSO Games
The National School Games 2024, organized by the Pakistan School Sports Organization (PSSO), kicked off at various locations in the city.
Teams from over 30 schools and colleges across the country were seen in action in the Under-17 and Under-19 competition of table tennis, badminton and football.
In badminton, the Under-17 Girls event was won by Alpha High School, while DelSol School came second. The best player was Mirha from Alpha High School.
In the Under-19 Girls badminton event, Alpha College won the title and Abiya was declared the best player. Scepter College finished second.
In the Under-19 Boys badminton event, Alpha College won the first position while Nixor College came second. Best player was Abdullah Hashmi from Alpha College
In the under-17 girls table tennis tournament, Origin School won first place
Titan College finished second.
In the under 19 girls table tennis competition, Whales College excelled to take first place, while Alpha College finished second. Eman Khalid from Alpha College was named the best player.
In the Under-17 Boys TT event, Alpha High took the top position while Shah Wilayat School finished second. Best Player was Fazeel from Alpha High School.
In the under-19 boys' table tennis event, Nixor College took first place, while Whales College came second. Best Player was Saem Saad from Nixor College.
Earlier, during the opening ceremony at NED University Gymnasium, Sindh Provincial Assembly Member Quratul Ain Khan was the chief guest while President PSSO Gohar Raza and other distinguished guests were also present on the occasion.
