Worcestershire County Cricket Club is retiring the number 33 shirt in honor of Josh Baker
Worcestershire County Cricket Club is extremely honored to announce that a squad number will be officially retired for the first time in the club's history. The number 33 shirt is being removed in memory of Josh Baker, who tragically passed away earlier this year.
A talented and dedicated homegrown player, Josh has made significant contributions both on and off the field during his time at the club. His presence was felt not only in his performances, but also in the way he embodied the spirit and values of Worcestershire Cricket.

The number 33 shirt will forever be associated with Josh's legacy and will serve as a lasting reminder of his impact on the club, his teammates and the wider cricket community.
As part of this tribute, a framed Baker 33 shirt will go on permanent display in the Graeme Hick Pavilion, and a metal bench containing Josh's locker will be installed on the training net, two lasting memorials in honor of Josh's contribution to Worcestershire.
Josh's parents, Paul and Lisa, have also been given Club Life membership, ensuring that they will always be part of the Worcestershire family and that New Road will always remain a place for them where they are welcome and belong.
