Table tennis star Green feels that the Paralympic dream is in sight
Billingham's Green, 25, won silver in the men's doubles at the 2023 National Championships and has been named an athlete to watch for LA2028 by charity SportsAida.
Green is familiar with most of the Paralympic table tennis squad and says seeing his friends in action fuels his desire to be front and center of the action in four years' time.
It's just incredible, it's so motivating to see people, especially when I know people on the team, Green said.
It's good to see and some of them are my friends, both outside and inside the camp, and it's great to hear their stories.
It is my dream to be at the Paralympic Games. Every time it's on it eases the hunger to go again, it's the best event there is.
It is so beautiful to see all the different countries coming together and I can imagine that the atmosphere in the village must be great. It really gives a spark to try to get there.
Everything I do in my life is focused on the goal of going to the Paralympic Games.
Green calls Paris silver medalist Rob Davies his hero, but says there is much to learn from each athlete taking part.
To see people who have been on that journey, just like me, and to see them there makes it believable, Green said.
You know it's a thing and you know how to get there, but when you see other people doing it, especially those you know, who you grew up with, who play the sport, you see them there, you realize that this dream is achievable.
I really like Rod Davies, the way he has come through and maintained such a high level for so long, it's incredible.
Howard is one of 50 athletes across a range of sports supported by a partnership between SportsAid and PitchingIn, a multi-million pound grassroots sports program set up by Entain, owner of Ladbrokes and Coral.

It really helped me, I had to pay injury costs that GB couldn't cover and I had to go to a private physio because I was struggling to get to my real doctor.
