Round 1 of the 24-25 Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund is open
Queensland's Round 1 of the Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund (ACIF) for 2024-2025 is officially open! The joint initiative between Cricket Australia and Queensland Cricket aims to continue the development and growth of cricket facilities across the state so that clubs, associations, schools and councils can nurture our talent, promote community involvement and enhance the overall cricketing experience in Queensland can improve.
In the Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund's last financial year, funding was allocated to a total of 50 projects across the state. These successful applicants included 33 from regional Queensland, in line with Queensland Crickets' commitment to regional Queensland.
General Manager of Community Cricket & Infrastructure, Matt Richards said: As we open Round 1 of the Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund, we are pleased to support the growth of clubs, associations, councils and communities by providing the opportunity to breathe new life into their cricket infrastructure to revive and improve.
From pitch upgrades to the installation of inclusive facilities, the ACIF enables cricket clubs across Queensland to build facilities that increase participation, while serving players of all ages and abilities. We look forward to seeing the positive impact of the ACIF again this season.
The closing date of the fund will be Friday November 8 with successful announcements to be made in the new year.
