Men's tennis to participate in UCSB Fall Classic
SANTA BARBARA, California–The University of Hawaii men's tennis team heads to California to compete in the UC Santa Barbara Fall Classic. The Rainbow Warriors will face stiff competition from players representing 13 teams. 62 California, Cal Poly, Grand Canyon. LMU, No. 41 Pepperdine, Saint Mary's-CA, No. 75 San Diego State, No. 59 Santa Clara, No. 17 Stanford, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA and host 48th-ranked UCSB. The tournament begins on Friday, October 4 at 7:00 am HT and runs through Sunday, October 6, with the first serve taking place at 5:30 am HT at UCSB's Arnhold Tennis Center.

There will be at least three singles flights with 16 player draws. Each match consists of two of three sets, with no advertisements scored. For doubles, there are also three flights with an eight-game pro set without ads and a tiebreak at 7-all.

Returning Rainbow Warriors Carl Collins, Andy Hernández, Quinn Snyder And False Urano will open the play this week. Seniors Snyder, Hernandez and Collins all earned Big West Honors last year under the leadership of Snyder, who earned Second Team honors in singles after leading UH with an 8-6 record in singles, while also earning recognition for the Second Team earned with partner Hernanadez. Collins earned an honorable mention posting a score of 7-6 in singles.
