October half term activities with active Hastings
This October half term, Active Hastings has a range of fantastic sports sessions running throughout the week.
The sessions include athletics including multi-sports, street dancing, rugby, rounders, Halloween under 5 stay and play, volleyball, muay thai, table tennis, girls football and a Saturday community day.
Sarah Ruusuvuori, Active Hastings Youth Link Worker said: “This year's program is designed to give all children the opportunity to try a variety of sports, whatever their ability, all are very welcome. The sessions are free or low cost costs (with a 'pay what you can' option), to ensure all children have access to a range of activities this term. The sessions are expected to be very popular, so book early to avoid disappointment.'
Councilor Glenn Haffenden, lead councilor for housing and wellbeing at Hastings Borough Council, said: “I am pleased that we are offering a wide range of activities for local children this October half term, taking place in various locations across the city. These are a great way for children to develop their physical and mental wellbeing, and bring children together to build friendships and have fun.”
