Surrey's State School Cricket Program has partnered with Chase
Surrey's Academic Cricket Scholars (SACS) program has signed a partnership with Chase Cricket, a leading bat making brand, which will support the scholars and program coaches by providing them with training gear and equipment.
Launched in early 2023, the program works with state schools in Surrey and South London, providing young people with access to high-quality cricket coaching and strength and conditioning training as they complete their sixth form academic studies. In its first year, the program started with three partner schools and will now work with twelve schools from the 2025/26 academic year.
The new partnership will see Chase become a SACS front-of-shirt sponsor, with their logo appearing on student training, travel and playing sets, with each new starter receiving a Chase cricket ball.
Chase will offer scholars exclusive discounts on a wide range of cricket equipment, in addition to on-field performance-based prizes. The new partners will also provide the program coaches with a bag that includes training and bat trapping.
In addition to the on-field support, students will benefit from visiting the Chases workshop in Hampshire and learning how bats are manufactured, as well as presentations and advice given by Chases staff at the Careers in Cricket events.
Applications for the 2025/26 intake are now open and the Club will be holding online introductory presentations for potential applicants and their parents/guardians in September, with trials in mid-October.
