National Cricket League matches for free on WFAA+ | How to watch

DALLAS The National Cricket League (NCL) kicks off the 11-day, 19-match Sixty Strikes Tournament at UT-Dallas in Richardson on October 4 – and you can stream every match live for free on WFAA+, WFAA's streaming app for smart TVs.

The WFAA+ app is free to download and includes all of WFAA's newscasts, plus exclusive content and specials like Friday Night Football.

And this week, in addition to streaming high school football games, WFAA+ is proud to bring you live coverage of every game in the NCL's premier tournament.

Billed by promoters as “Cricket meets Coachella,” the 11-day celebration will not only feature world-class players and Bollywood entertainment, but also present meaningful themes that resonate far beyond the field. Theme nights throughout the tournament will add meaning to the celebration, highlighting causes such as domestic violence awareness, valuing veterans and recognizing first responders, event organizers said.

Now that you have the WFAA+ app, watching the tournament matches should be easy enough: when matches air (see schedule below), they'll appear right there on your home screen under the 'Watch' tab.

The NCL features a lineup featuring many players from Team USA, who recently suffered one of the biggest upsets in cricket history: the United States scored a major upset at the T20 World Cup by beating heavyweights Pakistan in a victory that resonated with whole world.

In total, the competition will consist of 84 players, 48 ​​international stars, plus 36 from the US, who will represent six teams.

• Saturday October 5: Domestic violence awareness evening: Every run is important. This evening is all about raising awareness and supporting survivors of domestic violence. Join the NCL and stand up for a safer future.
• Sunday October 6: Community Partner Appreciation Evening: Honoring the people and organizations who stand side by side in NCL's success. From local heroes to key stakeholders, this evening celebrates the backbone of the league and their contributions.
• Monday October 7: Veterans Night: Join NCL in a heartfelt tribute to those who served. Sons of Yankee legends Mickey Mantle and Billy MartinDavid Mantle and Billy Martin Jr. will be signing autographs, with all proceeds benefiting the Special Forces Charitable Trust. Let's honor our veterans with performances by Danny Gringo and Raga Boyz, celebrating their courage and sacrifice.
• Tuesday October 8: Heroes' evening for healthcare and public safety: The National Cricket League, in partnership with UTSW as our official healthcare partner, will honor the memory of officer Darron Burks, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Together we salute the everyday heroes, healthcare professionals, first responders and public safety officials who keep our communities safe and healthy. A special performance by Javed Ali will pay tribute to their dedication and service.
• Wednesday October 9: Night of Sustainability: The NCL aims to become a CO2 neutral event by 2030. On this evening, the competition, powered by solar energy, plants a tree for every border crossing. Wajid Ali will perform as we celebrate the future of green sports.
• Thursday October 10: UT Dallas Alumni Evening: Comet pride takes over as the NCL honors UT Dallas alumni. With a performance by Tanmay Chaturvedi, it is an evening full of school spirit and cricket.
• October 12-14: The play-offs: The stakes are high, win or go home. The best teams compete for the ultimate prize as the tournament reaches its thrilling finale. Fans will witness the best of cricket under the lights of Texas.
