Women's tennis heads north for the Elon Fall Invitational
CONWAY, SC The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team will hit the road for the second event of the season at the Elon Fall Invitational on October 4-5.
The Phoenix welcomes Coastal, Queens, Liberty and Appalachian State to the two-day event in Elon, NC
Day one of the invitational consists of one round of doubles, followed by two rounds of singles. Day two starts with two rounds of doubles and ends with a final round of singles.
CCU opened the fall season with a 14-18 record at the Lynn Stevens Memorial Invitational, where the Chants played JMU, Campbell and App State in a hidden doubles format.
Sophomore Brooke Rogers led the team with a 4-2 record and remained undefeated with a 3-0 mark on day two of the event. Senior Nicole Abel and freshmen Brunelle Kouam also had a successful opening weekend, recording three wins each while combining for a 2-1 win in doubles.
