CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. Ole Miss women's tennis team members Rachel Kryzyak and Andrea Novawill compete at the Wahoowa Invitational in Charlottesville, Virginia, October 4-6.

Krzyzak, a senior letterwinner, will look to return to form after finishing last season with a team-leading mark of 18-9. Krzyzak showed her versatility by taking wins in four different lanes, including four on lanes four and six.

Nova achieved thirteen overall singles victories last season. She became the Rebels' third freshman in as many years to win her first career doubles and singles matches.

The event takes place at the Virginia Tennis Complex and features round-robin play in singles and doubles over three days. Doubles are one set to six, while singles are two to three full sets.

Ole Miss plays Friday at 11 a.m., Saturday 1 p.m., and closes play on Sunday at 9 a.m.

– Joins Ole Miss after three seasons at Charlotte

FAMILIAR FACES

Ole Miss has five returning players from last year's team. Kette will try to complete her second year in her second fall as a rebel. The three-headed monster of seniors Kareisová, Krzyzak and Leclercq-Ficher will have a big impact this season. In 2024, Kyzyzak led the team in singles wins (18).

TRANSFER TO THE SIP

The Rebels added Petruzelova from Charlotte through the transfer portal. Petruzelova spent three seasons at Charlotte, compiling a combined record of 66-25 in singles and a record of 58-42 in doubles. She ranks No. 8 in Charlotte's record book for singles victories. In her Junior campaign, Petruzelova led the team with 26 singles wins.

FIRST year PHENOM

Olson, a Blue Chip five-star recruit from Kansas City, Kansas, will begin her collegiate career as a Rebel this season. She was ranked No. 704 in the ITF singles rankings and was the No. 26 recruit in the country.

FALL LEI

The Rebels have a packed fall schedule, with nine tournaments from late September to early November. After the trip to Charlottesville, Ole Miss will host an ITA tournament in Auburn, Ala., Oct. 10-15. The Rebels will then compete in the Vanderbilt Invitational from October 25-27 in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Rebels will compete in the ITF 35K in Norman, Oklahoma from October 27 to November 3. On November 1 and 2, the team will head to Tuscaloosa, Ala., to compete in the Roberta Alison Invitational. Ole Miss will compete in its second ITF tournament Nov. 4-10 in Jackson, Tenn., before wrapping up the fall at the ITA Masters (Nov. 7-10) in San Diego, Calif., or the ITA Sectionals (Nov. 2012). . 7-10) with the location being assigned at a later date.
