World number one Iga Swiatek divorces coach Tomasz Wiktorowski after three years
Tennis world number one Iga Swaatek has said goodbye to her coach, Tomasz Wiktorowski, she announced on Friday (October 4).
The Paris 2024 bronze medalist announced that she and her Polish compatriot had mutually agreed to part ways after three years together, during which she became the top-ranked female tennis player in the world and won four Grand Slams.
Swiatek said in a statement via InstagramAfter three years of the greatest achievements in my career, together with my coach Tomasz Wiktorowski, we decided to part ways. I want to start with a big thank you and appreciation for our work together.
Coach Wiktorowski joined my team for three seasons, when I desperately needed changes and a fresh look at my game. His experience, analytical and strategic attitude and vast knowledge about tennis helped us achieve things I had never dreamed of, just a few months after we started working together.
Coach, THANK YOU, I wish you all the best. I know that after these three years of hard work and a lot of travel, you would like to rest and spend some well-deserved time with your loved ones, and I hope you get what you need.
