Men's tennis dominates opening day of Mercer Gridiron Classic
MACON, Ga. – North Florida men's tennis started the fall season with five singles wins and a pair of doubles victories at the Mercer Gridiron Classic hosted by Mercer on Friday afternoon.
The Ospreys headlined by Jean Delozièrewho scored an outright win in the tournament's Flight A1 bracket. Lorenzo Messina And Bruno Vietri joined Deloziere with wins of his own in three sets each in the Flight A2 bracket.
Chase Healey was next with a victory in the B1 flight, while Spencer Dorosheff joined the sophomores in taking the sweep in the B2 flight. The day ended successfully with a pair of doubles victories from Messina and Healey, as well as Deloziere and Vietri.
North Florida continues its weekend of tournament style in the Mercer Gridiron Classic on Saturday, October 5.
