Tennis concludes the Tennessee Fall intercollegiate tournament with three breakaway champions

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri tennis ends the Tennessee Fall Intercollegiate Tournament with three champions at the Adams Tennis Complex. During day two of the tournament, the Redhawks went 4-2 in singles and 2-0 in doubles.
SEMO had three athletes in the singles finals and both of their doubles teams won their respective flights.
In total, he won Flight C in the singles, had two finalists in Flight B in the singles, had two semi-finalists in Flight A in the singles and won doubles Flights A and B.
Champions
Kristina Kozakova defeated Dandu of Christian Brothers College in the final of Flight C. Kozakova won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.
Mia Mayerová and Maya Bajorek defeated UT Southern's Chang and Odajima 6-4 in Flight A to claim their second doubles title this fall.
In the doubles final of Flight B, Kozakova and Juliette Demunck eliminated Vergara and Kirkly (UTS) 6-0 to win their flying championship.
In the singles final of Flight B, Demunck and Mayerová did not play each other and for the third place match of singles Flight A, Lera Valeeva and Bajorek did not play against each other.
Semi-finals
In the semifinals, Kozakova rolled past Blue Mountain Christian's Housley. Kozakova won in straight sets, winning 6-0, 6-2
Demunck defeated her opponent Chang (UTS) in the semifinals 6-0, 6-1 and advanced to her second fall tournament final in a row.
Mayerová advanced to her first finals match after beating UT Southern's Sanches in straight sets 6–3, 6–2.
Valeeva and Bajorek fell in the semifinals. Valeeva lost 3-6, 5-7 to Zemtsova of Christian Brothers University. Bajorek won her first set 6-3, after which she lost the last two sets 3-6 and 6-10 against Chaphalker from Middle Tennessee State.
The Southeast Missouri Tennis team will be back in Murfreesboro next week from October 10-13 to compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional.
