Ready to host TT Worlds
Preparations are in full swing to host the successful 2025 World Table Tennis Championships, to be held at the Lusail Sports Arena from May 17 to 25. It will be the second time that Qatar will host the global showpiece, having hosted the prestigious event in 2004. Qatar is the only country in the Arab world and the Middle East to host the tournament.
The Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA) has been a key partner of the International Table Tennis (TT) Federation (ITTF), which has regularly hosted premier competitions in the country over the years. The 2025 World Cup is expected to be the best edition and will attract a field of top players from all over the world. The tournament includes a total of five competitions in men's and women's singles and doubles, and mixed doubles, with a total of 443 matches scheduled. In this regard, an ITTF delegation visited facilities including the Qatar University venues and the Qatari Womens Sports Committee hall.
