Men's tennis duo advances UCSB Fall Classic title tilt
SANTA BARBARA, California–The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team continued to compete on Day 2 of the UC Santa Barbara Fall Classic at the Arnhold Tennis Center in Santa Barbara, California.
The Rainbow Warriors doubles team Quinn Snyder And Azuma Visaya held off Cal Poly's Raz Haviv and Sean Kamyshev with an 8-6 break to advance to the main event championship match. The 'Bows will face host UCSB's Gianluca Brunkow and Gusstav Theilgaard in the title game on Sunday.
In the main singles draw, Visaya took UCSB's Conrad Brown to three sets before falling 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. But in the singles consolation rounds, Visaya bounced back in the consolation round to defeat UC San Diego's Carson Lee in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2. Snyder picked up a pair of wins on Saturday. He nearly shutout Santa Clara's Maskow 6-0, 6-1 and then posted a retirement victory over St. Mary's Carlos Ramos Membrives.
