New Zealand beats Sri Lanka at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium

In their T20 Women's World Cup match, New Zealand's Georgia Plimmer gave them an 8-wicket win over Sri Lanka. New Zealand recorded a victorious win against Sri Lanka after previously losing badly to Australia. At the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, New Zealand won thanks to skipper Sophie Devine and the team. Sri Lanka, the reigning Asian champions, were disappointed after finishing bottom of the table after four consecutive defeats.
New Zealand go to their final group match against Pakistan on Monday, which they must win to reach the last four.
Sri Lanka become the first team to see their tournament end completely, leaving without a win in their now concluded group schedule.
