Virginia Women's Tennis | Women's tennis hosts ITA Atlantic Regional
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. Members of the Virginia women's tennis team will compete at the ITA Atlantic Regional Singles and Doubles Championships held at the Virginia Tennis Facility at the Boar's Head Resort.
The singles qualifying matches will be played on Thursday (October 17). The main draw matches in singles and doubles start on Friday (October 18). The tournament runs until Tuesday, October 22. Admission is free. No live statistics are available, but there will be live video streams of the trial.
The Cavaliers begin main event play in singles and doubles on Friday.
Virginia has the top four seeds in the singles draw [1] Annabelle Xu, [2] Sara Ziodato, [3] Elaine Chervinksy and [4] Melody Collard. Blanca Pico Navarro, Martina Genis Salas and Zara Larke are all 9-16 seeds.
Virginia also has four seeded doubles teams: [1] Chervinsky and Collard, [2] Meggie Navarro and Ziodato, [3] Xu and Genis Salas, and [5] Larke and Pico Navarro.
The two singles finalists from each region will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. Meanwhile, the doubles champion from each region qualifies for the NCAA Doubles Championship.
