Mets cut Dodgers NLCS lead to 3-2, Ohtani gets 2 hits
Shohei Ohtani had a pair of hits in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 12-6 loss to the New York Mets in Game 5 of the National League Championship Series on Friday.
The Mets cut the Dodgers' lead from three games to two, with the series returning to Los Angeles for Game 6 on Sunday.
Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a walk and two strikeouts at Citi Field.
The Japanese star singled to lead off the game and Mookie Betts followed with a double to put runners on second and third base with no outs, but the Dodgers failed to score as the next three batters were retired.

The Mets, in turn, took advantage of their opportunity in the bottom of the first inning when Pete Alonso homered with two for a 3-0 lead.
Two innings later, the Mets added five runs against Jack Flaherty to extend their lead to 8-1.
Andy Pages homered twice and scored four runs for the Dodgers.
