Men's tennis hosts Spartan Fall Invitational
GROENSBORO, NC The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis team is preparing to host the Spartan Fall Invitational on Sunday at 10 a.m. on the UNCG tennis courts.

FINAL TIMEOUT
Competing in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Carolina Regional Championships, junior Tymofi Chrystyuk picked up a victory in the first round of the main singles draw on October 11.
Junior Johannes Gabelic competed in one singles qualifying match on October 10 before Khrystyuk competed in a pair of singles matches and one doubles match alongside juniors Luke Thomson on October 11.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
EMORY The Eagles finished the 2023-2024 season with an 18-6 mark overall and a 2-1 record in the University Athletic Association.
The Eagles had four student-athletes in Efe Comu, John Lasanajak, Ruilin Feng and Christian Liew who all played their third and final matches at the ITA Cup in Mount Berry, Georgia last weekend. Junior Dean Kamenev is back on the roster after earning ITA All-American recognition last season.
QUEENS The Royals finished the 2023-2024 season with an 11-11 overall record and a 3-6 mark in Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) play.
Senior Laurenz Blickwede returns to the roster this season after being named to the All-ASUN Second Team a season ago. He finished the season with an 11–8 record in singles. Blickwede also went 7-7 at the top level and finished 4-4 in conference play. In doubles, he posted an overall record of 5–13. The Spartans faced the Royals at the Davidson Fall Invitational from September 27-29, winning 2-1 in doubles and 1-3 in singles.
RADFORD The Highlanders finished 1-17 overall and 0-4 in the Big South last season.
The Spartans stormed to a 7-0 victory over the Highlanders in Radford, Virginia, last spring before crossing paths again late last month at the Davidson Fall Invitational. UNCG finished 2-2 in singles against Radford in the event.
