Women's tennis completes day two of Bruno Classic
In doubles, Addie Ahlstrom and Ali Maguy competed against Ella Faessler and Amelia Tye of UMass Amherst. Faessler and Tye managed to secure a win with a . 6-1 final against Ahlstrom and Maguy.
Lindsey Hoflander And Gabby Soliman had an exciting match against Mariana Campino and ThamonpanJonglertrakul of Minutewomen, with the Minutewomen gaining the victory (6-4).
Anne Moody And Anne Yang competed against Rutgers' doubles team, Cindy Zhou and Naomi Karki. The pairs battled through the set, with Scarlet Knights ultimately coming out on top (7-5).
The Bears advanced through singles matches and recorded five wins. Bella Hu earned a victory over UMass' Thamonpan Jonglertrakul on the second line.
Anne Yang won her singles match against Minutewomen's Amelia Tye in straight sets (6-4,7-5).
Dani Ben-Abraham came out on top in straight sets against Cosima Trinity Calinescu. Ben-Abraham won the first set 6-2 and took the second set 6-1, which resulted in the win.
Ali Maguy continued her singles streak, earning her fourth singles victory over Rutgers' Cindy Zhou (7-5, 4-6, 10-5).
The competition ended with Hannah Shen achieving a victory in straight sets on the sixth line. She defeated Naomi Karki of the Scarlet Knights.
The Bears will compete tomorrow at 9 a.m. on the final day of the Bruno Classic on the outdoor courts
