2 shot after argument during a youth football game at Walnut Hills High School
Cincinnati police said at least two people were injured after a shooting during a youth football game Sunday night at Walnut Hills High School. Police say one person is in serious condition, while another suffered non-life-threatening injuries. took place around 7:30 PM when one of the scheduled matches was just starting to wrap up. WLWT witnessed numerous children crying when they arrived on scene. Police said the shooting appears to have started after an argument broke out between a group of men. No suspect has been arrested at this time, but police say they have a lead on a person who may have fired the shots. Police say there are multiple cameras in the area and they are beginning to review footage that may have captured the suspect's image. The police did not say anything more. One parent in attendance who caught up with WLWT after police arrived expressed anger that a shooting would ever occur around a sporting event involving young children. “This isn't much of a competition,” the woman said. “This is a little league. These kids are 12 and under. Why do these adults even have firearms, guns, this is insane, you can't even do nothing with your kids in the city, it's safe for a reason” “They continued, “You can't even take your kids outside anymore, because of adults. It has nothing to do with these kids. It's these adults who choose to live this way and feel like it's okay to bring guns to little kids' games.” “It ruins everything. There is nothing our children can do.” WLWT is working to learn more about the incident.

One parent in attendance who caught up with WLWT after police arrived expressed anger that a shooting would ever occur around a sporting event centering on young children.
“This is a little competition,” the woman said. “This is a little league. These kids are 12 and under. Why do these adults even have firearms, guns, this is insane, you can't even do nothing with your kids in the city, it's safe for a reason.”
She continued, “You can't even take your kids outside anymore, because of adults. It has nothing to do with these kids. It has nothing to do with the competition. None of that. these adults who choose to live like this and feel like it's okay to bring firearms to these little kid games.”
