Women's tennis concludes second day at SJSU Hidden Dual
SAN JOSE, California. Santa Clara women's tennis earned one win in singles on the second day of the San Jose State Hidden Dual on Saturday. The Broncos faced UC Davis in singles and San Jose State in doubles.
The hidden dual-play format includes singles against one team and doubles against another team each day. Teams line up and play similar to a double team match, like in the spring, but there is no team scoring, only individual wins and losses.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Tian Yu Dong defeated Daisy Maunupau in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 for SCU's only win of the day.
- Anna Rahman Maya Youssef pushed Maya Youssef to three sets before falling 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.
- The Broncos dropped all three doubles matches against tournament host San Jose State.
NEXT:
- The third and final day of the San Jose State Hidden Dual takes place on Sunday. The Broncos will play the UC Davis doubles team at noon and Pacific singles again at 1 p.m.
