Tennis sweeps singles on day two at Big Red Invitation
Sefafima Shastova continued her dominance in the singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win. The sophomore moved to 11-1 with the victory in the fall and has now won seven sets with a 6-0 lead. Fellow second year Nelly Knezkova also won Saturday, beating Isabel Garcia of Niagara 6-1, 6-2 for her fifth fall win.
Shiori Ito won for the third time in her last four appearances, beating Niagara's Larisa Kotok 6-2, 6-1. Constance Levivier also won in straight sets, beating Le Moyne's Isabella Barona 6-3, 6-2.
Overall, Syracuse went 48-11 in singles matches over the four matches and is now 97-32 in matches during the tournament.
The tournament concludes on Sunday and the matches start at 10am
