Gordon in England XI squad for the European T10 Women's Championship
Kent all-rounder Amy Gordon has been called up to the NCCA England XI squad to help the side defend their European T10 Womens Championship title at the Cartama Oval near Malaga from next Sunday.
England XI won the opening tournament twelve months ago when they defeated the Netherlands by seventeen runs in the final on the Costa del Sol.
Coached by former Kent seamer Jenni Jackson, England will again look to emulate their male counterparts who retained the Men's European T10 Championship title at the Cartama Oval in October, the third time they have won the competition in four years.
England XI coach and former Kent star Jenni Jackson said: I'm really looking forward to the upcoming tournament. It will be a great opportunity for these talented players to test their skills in a different format and against some strong countries.
The girls within this group are some of the best emerging players in the country and this tournament adds an extra dimension to their development as players, bridging the gap between domestic and professional cricket.
Within the team we have players from different countries with a range of experience, from players with international World Cup honors to players graduating from the regional Academy programme.
I am sure that every player will leave the tournament with a renewed passion for the sport and the motivation to continue their journey towards professionalism.
I'm excited to be part of the journey with these players and can't wait to sit back and watch them put on a great show.

This year's competition has doubled in size with five countries hosting Spain, Austria, Germany, Jersey and the Czech Republic taking part in the Challenger competition between December 9 and 14, while England's XI from December 15 alongside Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands and Italy compete in the Premier Division. 20.

This will be the third England Women International T20 match to be hosted at The Spitfire Ground, after England faced India in 2012 and most recently New Zealand at a sold-out Spitfire Ground in 2024.
