Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has once again announced his retirement from international cricket. However, the 35-year-old will continue to play domestic and franchise cricket across the world.

Imad had already retired from international cricket last year, but his stellar form in the Pakistan Super League, where he was named player of the match in all three play-off matches for eventual champions Islamabad United, led to a return to the international cricket in the T20 format.

Since the T20 World Cup was to be held in the Caribbean, Imad returned to the T20I group for Pakistan after meeting the PCB officials. However, Pakistan had a poor campaign, losing to the United States in a Super 8 berth. After that debacle, Imad was again not picked by Pakistan.

“After much thought and consideration, I have decided to retire from international cricket,” Imad announced on social media. “Representing Pakistan on the world stage has been the greatest honor of my life, and every moment I wore the green jersey was unforgettable.

“As this chapter comes to a close, I look forward to continuing my journey in cricket through domestic and franchise cricket, and I hope to continue to entertain you all in new ways.”
