HANOVER, NH Senior forward Liam Devlin (Needham, Mass.) scored one goal and one assist for two points as the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team tied No. 17 Dartmouth 3-3 Friday night at Thompson Arena in non-conference action. After a scoreless overtime period, the 'Cats won the shootout 1-0. The Wildcats trailed 3-1 after the first period and responded with two goals during the second period to tie the game at 3-3.

Junior goalkeeper Jared Whale (Calgary, Alberta) made 15 saves while a sophomore forward Ryan Conmy (Alexandria, Va.) and sophomore forward Jason Seven (Madison, NJ) each scored for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats, who were 5-1-2 over the past eight games, are now 7-4-3, while the Big Green are 6-3-2.

  • The Big Green took a 1-0 lead at 2:03 of the first period when Hank Cleaves stole the puck at center ice and then fired a shot from the slot to the bottom stick side of the net for his first career goal.
  • At 11:21, Sean Chisholm increased the lead to 2-0 when he tapped the puck in from just outside the crease.
