Men's Tennis Releases Spring 2025 Schedule – University of South Carolina Athletics
COLUMBIA, SC The 2025 South Carolina men's tennis spring schedule has been officially released, announced by the head coach Jos Goffi on Monday. The campaign consists of 14 conference matchups and the ITA Kickoff Weekend taking place in the state of Florida. Additionally, the Gamecocks will host the SEC tournament at the Carolina Tennis Center for the first time since 2016.
The Garnet & Black open their schedule at home, welcoming Furman and Citadel to the Carolina Indoor Tennis Center on Jan. 12. Four days later on January 16, the Gamecocks host the University of Virginia.
The Gamecocks next head to Jacksonville, Florida for the first road game of the season against North Florida on January 21.
On January 24, South Carolina will face San Diego in the first round of the ITA Kickoff Weekend tournament. The Gamecocks will then face either Florida State or UNCW for the next round on January 25. The winner of that competition will advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship, which takes place the following month on February 14-18 in Dallas or Waco, Texas. .
The Gamecocks return home on Jan. 29 to host Queens and the College of Charleston before heading to Clemson on Feb. 7 for an annual rivalry game.
The team will begin SEC play at home for the second straight season, hosting Alabama on February 22. The Gamecocks then make a quick turnaround, hosting Auburn two days later on Feb. 24 before hitting the road again to open March with a trip to Kentucky on the 2i.e.
On March 6, the Garnet & Black will take on Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee and then travel to Ole Miss for a game on March 8. The team returns home the following week to host Arkansas on March 13 and Oklahoma on March 15.
The next four games are on the road for the Gamecocks, starting with LSU on March 21 and then Mississippi State on March 23. The team will spend a few days in Texas, where they will face Texas A&M on March 28 before taking on the University of Texas on March 30. .
The team begins April with three final home games to wrap up the regular season, starting with Tennessee on the 3rdrd before we welcome Georgia to the 5e and Florida at 12e.
South Carolina will host the SEC tournament for the first time since 2016 and the third time since 1997. The event will take place April 16-20 at the Carolina Tennis Center.
South Carolina posted an overall mark of 19-15 last season with a 4-8 record in conference play and finished with a final ranking of No. 16 in the country. During the championship season, the Gamecocks made history after advancing to the SEC title game for the first time in program history following a 4-2 win over Tennessee. At NCAAs, the team advanced to the Round of 16 after defeating No. 14 NC State 4-3.
