Trio of Hawks earns All-ECAC Field Hockey First Team honors
DANBURY, Conn. Three Saint Joseph's graduate students were named to the ECAC Division I Field Hockey All-ECAC First Team, the organization announced Monday. Julia Duffhuis, Manu GhigliottiAnd Lily Santi were honored for their achievements during the 2024 season when they helped lead the Hawks to a program-record 20 wins, a No. 3 national ranking, the program's first Final Four and the first national championship game appearance by a Saint Joseph's team.
Duffhuis, a native of Bergeijk, Netherlands, posted an assist-rich career and earned Most Outstanding Player honors at the Atlantic 10 Championship. She earned the fourth All-Conference honor of her career after being named to the CAA All-Conference Teams three times during her time at Delaware; she also earned CAA Tournament MOP honors. Duffhuis was also named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team and the NFHCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team.
Ghigliotti, the NFHCA Mid-Atlantic Region Player of the Year and an All-Region First Team selection, also gave the Hawks NCAA All-Tournament honors after scoring both goals in the Hawks' 2-1 win over top-ranked ranked and previously undefeated.
