Jaimee Floyd Angele, Anapat Timangkul, Renlong Pang and Juan Gabriel Castro have been provisionally suspended
The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) today confirmed that three tennis players have been provisionally suspended pending the full hearing of Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP) charges.
Jaimee Floyd Angele (France), Anapat Timangkul (Thailand) and Renlong Pang (China) have been provisionally suspended under section F.3.bi4 (likelihood of a serious offence) of the TACP.
F.3.bi4: It is likely that the insured person has committed a serious offense and in the absence of a provisional suspension the integrity of tennis would be undermined and the damage resulting from the absence of a provisional suspension would outweigh the hardship of the provisional suspension of the insured person.
24-year-old Angele, who reached a world singles ranking of 463 in August 2022, has been provisionally suspended since September 19, 2024. The player exercised his right to appeal against the provisional suspension on October 30, 2024. Hearing Officer (AHO) Philippe Cavalieros dismissed the appeal on November 25, 2024.
The 22-year-old Timangkul, who reached a world ranking in doubles of 2414 in November 2023, has been provisionally suspended since October 8, 2024. The player has chosen not to appeal against the provisional suspension.
The 24-year-old Pang, who reached a career-high world singles ranking of 1316 in November 2024, has been provisionally suspended since November 7, 2024. The player has chosen not to appeal against the provisional suspension.
Juan Gabriel Castro, a national-level tennis official from the Dominican Republic, has also been provisionally suspended from the sport since November 7, 2024. Castro has chosen not to appeal the provisional suspension.
During their provisional suspension, the individuals are prohibited from performing/playing, coaching or attending any tennis event authorized or sanctioned by the members of the ITIA (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fdration Franaise the Tennis, Wimbledon and USTA) or a national association.
The ITIA is an independent body established by its tennis members to promote, encourage, improve and protect the integrity of professional tennis events worldwide.
