Men's tennis releases spring 2025 schedule
CHATTANOOGA (December 19, 2024) After another strong fall campaign, the Chattanooga Mocs men's tennis team has completed and finalized its 2025 spring schedule with the season opener just weeks away, the schedule and head coach Chuck Merzbacher announced on Thursday.
The 2025 spring schedule includes a total of twelve home games, including seven straight from February 31 to February 22. The Southern Conference Championships also return to the Scenic City April 16-19 at the Champions Club in nearby Rivermont Park.
“We are excited to announce another strong program for UTC Men's Tennis,” said coach Merzbacher. “Every time we line up, it's up to each player to hold their spot in doubles and singles to help the team.”
He added, “It seems like we have some non-conference rivals that have evolved, along with all the SoCon battles we seem to have at the end of the spring season.”
The season opens Jan. 17 with a doubleheader in Starkville, Miss., at SEC member Mississippi State. The home opener will open on January 31 against Tennessee Tech, while the SoCon opener will take place on March 16 at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.
