Missouri football has found its QB, but what else do the Tigers need to add?
It is the last straight stretch of the winter portal window.
Missouri Football has signed 12 players since the transfer portal opened on Dec. 9, filling several spots on the 2025 roster that needed depth. Now, the Tigers turn the final corner and race towards spring camp.
So far, MU has Penn State quarterback Beau Pribula, Appalachian State defensive end Nate Johnson, Wake Forest offensive lineman Keagen Trost, Michigan offensive lineman Dominick Guidice, ULM running back Ahmad Hardy, Mississippi State wide receiver Kevin Coleman, Nebraska linebacker Mikai Gbayor, added West Virginia linebacker Josiah Trotter, Virginia Tech safety Mose Phillips III, Northern Illinois safety Santana Banner, Stanford punter Connor Weselman and Defensive end Langden Kitchen of the state of Northwest Missouri.

But looking at what that means for next year's projected depth, MU probably isn't quite ready yet.
The current transfer portal closes on Saturday. Players participating in bowl games will be allowed another window from January 1 to 5, when they will be allowed to have visitors on campus.
Those already in the portal can sign up at any time, but players looking to participate in spring football will likely commit in early January due to enrollment requirements.
So what will land Mizzou in the coming weeks will be who it takes to spring camp.
Here's what the Tigers may still be chasing:
Will Missouri Football add a cornerback?
Missouri has numbers at cornerback expected to return next season, but those players have often been inconsistent. Dreyden Norwood was a consistent starter, but Mizzou traded Toriano Pride Jr. and Nicholas DeLoach Jr. off to the other place.
MU would ideally sign a player with immediate CB1 potential, but the portal is not full of them. According to the 247Sports transfer portal rankings, only five of the top 30 cornerbacks are still available.
At the very least, expect the Tigers to look for a challenger for a starting spot.
Linebacker
Gbayor and Trotter bring power conference experience and healthy production, but numbers could tempt the Tigers to seek more linebacker depth.
Three of MU's four-player core rotation are no longer eligible, with the fourth Khalil Jacobs returning from a season-ending injury. Missouri would like to give one of its promising 2024 freshmen a bigger role, or it could look for someone who can step in immediately.
The latter seems more likely.
Offensive line
Trost and Guidice add depth, but the Tigers may not be done recruiting offensive linemen just yet. Both starting tackles, the starting right guard, the backup center and the key sixth man are either ineligible or headed to the NFL.
That's a lot to replace, and it's unlikely all the replacements will be done in-house.
Mizzou will likely look to add a potential starter at tackle.
Kicker
Missouri could opt to stick with just Blake Craig, but with no returning depth and Craig's sporadic issues this season, it's more likely the Tigers will bring competition.
Craig was 18 of 27 on field goal attempts. Any backup from 2024 will be in the transfer portal, but will remain uncommitted.
Safety
Missouri has been active in replacing departing starters by bringing in Phillips and Banner, both of whom were in the top 15 available safeties according to 247Sports. But with three key pieces of the rotation on their way out and two backups leaving through the portal, a third addition could add depth.
The Tigers have options in 2024 role player Caleb Flagg and true freshman Trajen Greco. However, there is not much experience behind them.
