The 2024 HighSchoolOT All-State Girls Tennis Team

The fifth annual HighSchoolOT girls all-state tennis team features 19 players making their second, third or fourth appearance on the team, including four players who have been repeatedly selected to the first team.

There is a first, second and third team with 10 players each and an honorable mention team with 15 players. Players were selected based on their singles play throughout the year and doubles competition was not a factor.

The team is listed below with NCHSAA finish (if qualified for the individual tournament) and win-loss record according to MaxPreps or other sources. Records may be missing results. For example, a singles runner-up may be listed with 0 losses because no source has the most current TD record. Players are organized according to the alphabetical order of their school. Some highlights:

• Charlotte Christian's Sophia Harris and New Hanover's Sophia Catino graduate as four-time selections and three-time first-team all-stars.
• Charlotte Country Day's Anna Torstrick also graduates as a four-time selection after making the first team twice.
• There were four selections in total, the fourth being Emma Carver from North Lincoln.
• There are three three-way selections: Teagan Reilly of Myers Park and Luci Falls of Lake Norman Charter, and Carrie Marion of Mount Airy.
• Reilly, a junior, has been on the first team all three years.
• Harris, Catino, Torstrick and Reilly were the only repeat first-team selections.
• There are twelve dual selections: Kristen Strickler of Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill, Karsyn Sink of East Lincoln, Taylor Garriott of Cape Fear Academy, Susannah Swindell of Arendell Parrott, Brianna Stewart of Green Hope, Celeste Davis of Cardinal Gibbons, Ella Davis from Charlotte Catholic, Emerson White from North Raleigh Christian, Harni Anand from Cuthbertson and Madison from Highland Tech Darnell, Manya Nallagangu from NCSSM-Morganton and Laura Gomez of Panther Creek.
• The three first-team freshmen are the most tied between 2021 and 2020. The 2020 team also had an eighth-grader on the first team.
