Minister of Finance scraps taxes on electric charging and sports equipment

THE Minister of Finance has released a list of the chargers and parts and sports equipment for electric vehicles for which buyers will be exempted from paying customs duties, VAT and online purchase tax, as stated in the 2024 Budget Statement.

It should be noted that the list covers sports equipment and not general fitness equipment.

The exemptions are covered in Legal Notice Nos. 249, 250 and 251 of 2024.
