Another chapter has been added to the fiery feud between Australian hotshot Sam Konstas and the Indian cricket team, with the teenage sensation in a heated battle with Indian skipper Jasprit Bumrah.

During his swashbuckling debut Test innings at the MCG, Konstas was bowled by Virat Kohli. A week later, Konstas has found himself back in the action, this time battling Bumrah in the final of day one of the SCG Test.

After India were bowled for 185, Australian opening pair Konstas and Usman Khawaja had to survive a tricky 15-minute spell in the middle before the first day came to an end.

In an act of gamesmanship to reduce the number of overs the Aussies faced before the stumps, Khawaja was slow to prepare to take on Bumrah at the striker, which understandably frustrated the Indian quick.

While Bumrah called on Khawaja to hurry up. Konstas on the non-striker's side intervened, although it is unclear what he said.

This infuriated Bumrah who then exchanged words with the young Australian opener.
